By now I’ve spent more than half my life working with leather, and today I’m proud to present my products to whomever wishes to take part of the beauty of wearing a leather jacket.
I have experimented with different types of fabrics & techniques ever since kindergarten. At the age of 14 I had the opportunity to do an internship at 118 Second Läder, a vintage leather store that specializes in reparations and customization. The elegance of the leather, while historically being one of the most rebellious garments you could wear was exciting. The internship was meant to be a short school project, however I ended up spending as much time as I could for the rest of my high school years. When I graduated, I was offered a full-time job at the store and I spent the next 5 years customizing & restoring leather jackets from the entire 20th century.
Working with all types of projects, such as restoring WWI bomber jackets to customizing a jacket for Eurovision, I had the privilege to learn about all aspects of leather design. Knowledge about the benefit of different part of a hide and where to use them in a garment, how to stretch the leather to shape it correctly, and how to create long lasting, sustainable items. During this time, I also attended courses in pattern making at Tillskärarakademin as well as private lessons on traditional sewing & pattern-construction to gain a greater understanding of the underlying design & construction.
Today set-design is my main profession and it allows me to keep developing my leather passion the way I believe it should be done, with perfection.
